Vinyasa Yoga

For those who have a basic yoga foundation and want to understand more about continuous movement combined with breath.
Vinyasa here is not about “exercising until exhausted”, but about learning to move consciously, where you actively control your body, to feel fluidity and freedom in movement.
Continuous movement doesn’t mean rushing.
Vinyasa is only truly effective when breath leads the way.

You won’t be pushed into movements beyond your capacity.

Amy prioritizes movement quality over movement quantity.

The class helps you understand why breath is the determining factor in Vinyasa, so that each movement is controlled, gentle and more sustainable over time

Course Content

The course is built on a progression: foundation → connection → flow, focusing on movement quality and breath, not chasing speed or difficulty

Warm up & Awareness

  • Reconnect with breath in movement, not separating breathing and moving
  • Awaken core, hips, shoulders and spine before entering the sequence
  • Realign foundational poses so the body can flow more safely
  • Help students recognize their body’s state before practice

Strength & Control

  • Build the strength needed to sustain Vinyasa for extended periods
  • Learn to maintain control when changing rhythm, instead of chasing speed
  • Combine breath to regulate force and movement rhythm
  • Reduce tension in neck, shoulders, and back during continuous flow

Stretch & Flow

  • Combine stretching in slow movement
  • Maintain gentle flow so the body doesn’t “drop rhythm” suddenly
  • Keep a sense of softness and connection until the end of practice

Vinyasa Yoga – Who Is It For?

Moving with intention, breathing with awareness

When you want to move more, but not practice “unconsciously”

  • Already practicing yoga but feel like just repeating poses, haven’t understood movement clearly

  • Practice Vinyasa to music but easily lose breath, lose rhythm or run out of energy

  • Want to move continuously but still maintain control and body stability

  • Not looking for a “flow until exhausted” class, but want to understand what you’re doing in each step

In class, Amy doesn’t focus on speed or difficulty, but on movement quality and how you connect with your breath

When you need a clear connection between breath and movement

  • Easily get swept up by the class rhythm or follow the person next to you
  • Don’t yet know how to use breath to regulate rhythm and force
  • Feel the body tires quickly even though practice time isn’t long
Vinyasa in this class helps you learn to let breath lead movement, instead of chasing movement then breathing.

Signs that Vinyasa class might be right for you

  • Feel the body more clearly when movement slows down and has analysis
  • Want full-body movement but still maintain focus and presence
  • Want to dedicate practice time to understanding your body, without distraction
The class helps you build endurance both physically and in attention, not just in practice but also in daily life.

Real stories from real people whose lives have been touched by the practice

David Tran

“Learning to connect my breath with movement has been life-changing. I feel more grounded and centered in everything I do now.”

Emily Wong

“Amy’s Vinyasa classes taught me that it’s not about how fast you go, but how present you are in each moment. Truly transformative.”

Amy Duong (Yoga & Pilates Instructor)

Amy doesn’t build classes to create a feeling of “being very good at practice,” but to help students:

  • Understand what their body needs
  • Know when to progress – when to stop
  • Practice as part of life, not an obligation
Amy’s training philosophy is based on 3 principles: Strength – Stretch – Control

Every movement needs just enough strength, appropriate range of motion, and control from within.
